Over 350 volunteers join the WRCSC staff and the board of directors to fulfill our mission. Our volunteers, members and donors are the heart of the WRCSC. They are dedicated individuals who contribute countless hours of service throughout the year in a variety of roles. From providing routine administrative support to our staff or working one-on-one with clients to share resources and skills to providing compelling special programs to our members and collaboratively organizing our community events, our volunteers provide us with a rich tapestry of talents.

We’re urgently seeking volunteers for our consignment shop, Encore! & more. Are you dynamic, fashion-minded and detail-oriented? Then we want you!

If you enjoy greeting new faces, discovering fine fashion at affordable prices and contributing to a team effort for a great cause, please put ENCORE & more on your volunteer resolution list for 2012!

Calendar Distribution

Multiple copies of our calendar of programs & events are distributed bi-monthly to public sites and requesting local agencies around both Sarasota and Venice.  Assigned routes and flexible hours! Deliver per your weekday schedule and travel pattern.  Approximately six hours every other month. Complete the job faster (and more fun!) by volunteering  with a girlfriend.

Creating Connections is a casual group introduction to the Women’s Resource Center. It’s a great first step for any type of involvement with us.  Creating Connections will provide the answers with an overview of who we are, what we do, and how we do it.  Creating Connections is required of all our WRC and Encore volunteers.

January 16: 10 am – 12 pm

March 20: 1 – 3 pm

May 15: 10 am – 12 pm

September 18: 1 – 3 pm

November 13: 10 am – 12 pm
